The Great Auk Project
The Great Auk is a simpatico flightless bird that populated many North Atlantic coast. Sadly this relative of the razorbill became extinct at the end of the nineteenth century, These drawings are part of a celebration of the Great Auk organized on Facebook by long time Fogo Island resident botanist, ceramic artist, former hard core world sailor and friend Fraser Carpenter. I was delighted to be involved!
