My event calendar by Timely is currently out of service. I think that Timely has removed the standard version of its calendars from websites, including mine, WITHOUT WARNING in order to push its $75 Pro version. Not classy. Well, I don’t need no stinking fancy calendars , so here’s my upcoming schedule, plain and simple:

…When you’re having fun! Summer is zipping along, so before it’s really over, a quick line about the Sierra Nevada Guitar Fest: really enjoyed it! Great musicians, workshops (wanna be able to play lively Cuban songs like a pro in less than a week? Leave it to Rene Izquierdo! ) and performances, young new guitarists showcasing their skills in a tough competition, and OMG, the stunning lake!! For pictures and more, including the new guitar series at Walnut Creek, check the Sierra Nevada Guitar site. And now, back to practice and work on new repertoire!
…My guitar arrangement of Chick Corea’s Eternal Child. Available on CDBaby, Itunes, Amazon and the usual online suspects (you can also download it straight from HERE. Recorded at Annex Studios in San Mateo, CA, with the excellent Forrest Lawrence as recording engineer on an equally excellent “Miss B.” classical guitar by John Beckett Luthier.
… some recording time in studio in June! Very excited and a little bit freaked out. Never say to yourself “Ok, I know how to play this piece now”. If you do, practice it again immediately, and again, and again. Don’t let your mind fool you. Practice doesn’t make perfect, but hell it does make permanent.
On a different note, I hereby declare I finally understand the purpose and the benefits of Yogalates, and I solemnly swear that from now on I won’t call it mockingly “Yoga-Latte” like the beverage that’s not in the menu at Starbucks.
… at the South Bay Guitar Society Guitar Fest! So great to have had the chance to listen to some great artists, demo beautiful guitars, teach enthusiastic students about “Sounds of Italy for the classical guitar” and meet new people! And now, good old dose of catch up to do.
